Many individuals and businesses like to donate in-kind gifts. eBay Giving Works enables you to reach millions of potential buyers for these items. So the next time someone offers you an in-kind donation that you can't use, don't turn it down. Sell it on eBay and use the proceeds to support your cause.

Add your eBay user ID to your nonprofit account on MissionFish. Your direct selling listings will not be subject to donation processing and will qualify for the eBay Giving Works Fee Credit Policy.

Create an eBay Giving Works listing using the Sell Your Item form on eBay.

In the Pictures & Details section, click the "Add" link in the area titled "Donate percentage of sale." Select your organization from the nonprofit directory and specify that 100% of the sale price will be donated to your organization.

Complete the remainder of the Sell Your Item form and submit your listing.
Your charity listings will:

  • Stand out with a distinctive ribbon icon in the title bar of the listing and donation information (including your logo and mission statement) in the item description.

Manage your listings.
While your listing is active on eBay, respond to inquiries received from potential buyers as quickly as possible.
Tip: Anticipate common questions and include these important details in the item description.

Complete the sale.
  • When your item sells, collect payment from the buyer and ship the item.

  • Tip: We recommend that you use PayPal to receive payments quickly and securely.
  • Issue a tax receipt to your buyer, if appropriate.
  • Remember to leave Feedback for your buyer. This helps to build your reputation and is an important part of participating in the eBay Community.
